Preserve Your Photos – Terms & Conditions

Preserve Your Photos provides a photo scanning and digitisation service. We scan printed photographs to create digital copies and return the original photos to the client.

We do not provide professional photo restoration of photos. We beleive you should always have an enhanced copy of the original which you can copy and edit later. 

• Our minimum order  up to 500 phtos for £99.00
   
• Additional photos may be accepted by agreement and may incur an extra charge.
   
• Bookings are confirmed once deposit has been received.
   

• All photo drop-offs and collections are by appointment only.
   
• Clients are responsible for bringing their photos to our address
   
• We do not offer home visits or collections.
   
• Photos must be clearly packaged and in clean condtion,
   

• Typical turnaround time will be confirmed at booking.
   
• Timescales are estimates and may vary depending on volume and condition of photos.
   
• We will notify you if there are any unexpected delays.
   

We understand your photos are irreplaceable and treat them with care and respect at all times.

• Your photos remain your property at all times.
   
• While your photos are in our care, we take reasonable steps to keep them safe.
   
• However, due to the age and fragile nature of printed photographs, we cannot accept responsibility for:
   
  • existing damage
     
  • fragile or deteriorating materials
     
  • damage caused by handling fragile originals

• We will not scan photos which are fragile or torn
   

Our liability is limited to the cost of the scanning service provided, not the sentimental or replacement value of the photos.

• Photos should be free from loose debris, mould, or contaminants and glue
   
• We will not scan fragile, stuck-together, torn, or damaged photos
   
• We will contact you if any items cannot be scanned safely.
   

• Scans are provided as digital image files.
   
• Files are supplied via USB and/or digital delivery, as agreed.
   
• It is the client’s responsibility to:
   
  • back up their digital files
     
  • store them securely
     

We are not responsible for loss of digital files once they have been delivered. We will store digital files for 30 days only.

• Scanning aims to produce a faithful digital copy of the original photo.
   
• Colour, brightness, and sharpness may vary depending on the original photo.
   
• Minor dust marks or imperfections may remain.
   
• We do not guarantee perfection or restoration unless agreed separately.
   

• Appointments can be rearranged with at least 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend.

• Please note that scanning slots are limited and there may be a waiting list, so if you need to cancel, I ask that you let me know as soon as possible so the slot can be offered to someone else.

• Once scanning has started, refunds are not available.

• If you are unhappy with the service, please contact me as soon as possible so we can discuss a resolution.
   

• Your photos are handled confidentially.
   
• We do not share, publish, or use your images without your explicit permission.
   
• We may request permission to use a small number of images anonymously for marketing purposes, but this is entirely optional.
   

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Preserve Your Photos is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
   
• Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.
   

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
