Hi, I’m Sam — and I help people preserve the stories behind their photos.
Before I started Preserve Your Photos, I spent years working with older people across Leeds in community and charity work. I’ve always believed that what matters most in life are the people we love and the memories we make along the way.
That belief became deeply personal when my mum developed dementia. Sitting with her, going through her carefully kept photo albums, I saw just how powerful photos can be in holding a family’s history together. That’s when I started scanning our own collection and I now help others do the same.
I now run a small local photo service from my home office in Allerton Bywater, scanning, restoring, and organising printed photos so families can:
- Share memories with loved ones
- Create books or slideshows for special occasions
- Preserve their history for the next generation
This work isn’t just a business for me it’s something I truly care about.
I don’t take on multiple jobs at once. I take my time. And I treat every photo with the same care I gave my mum’s.

I don’t use phone apps Every photo is individually scanned using high-resolution equipment.
- Privacy guaranteed – Your photos aren’t stored on my computer. If you choose a cloud download, your images are stored temporarily and deleted after one week. See my Privacy Policy for more.
